Rainy day? Handmade gift? I made a couple with the blue and red stars to give as gift at 4th of July cookouts we'll be stopping by. These are inexpensive to create, as well as easy and fun for most ages. I can vouch for girls ages 7-11 loving it!
What you'll need:
- White Tea Towels
- Fabric Paint (I used the Tulip brand)
- Paint brushes, sponges, stencils, etc.
- Cardboard or heavy duty drop cloth to work on
You can buy these white tea towels at most big box stores. I bought mine at Walmart (10 pack for under $8.00). I also picked up the stencils and fabric paint there. We cut our own star shapes from the off brand magic eraser and made our own "VB" stencil. This is where you can stretch your creativity to personalize your tea towels!
Lay out your Tea Towel so it's spread completely flat and paint away. Let dry on a drying rack for 72 hours, then wash and it's ready to use!
